Khanacademy

      Although Khanacademy mainly focus on science teaching, I still found the website is very interesting. I watched the talk he gave on TED too and found him to be a nice guy with vision. He said one change his website bring to actual education is humanizing the classroom. That is a big surprise to me. 

   A very well designed teachings available on internet instead of isolating students and creating more distance between teachers and students, it help classroom to focus more on communication among students and between teachers and students.  Students can try out what they have learned back in home from videos with the help from teachers and competition with other students in school. That absolutely is a revolution in Education. Now we really can return classroom to students, which many students have dreamt for a long term.

      Lots of learning opportunity have been wasted in classroom in the past simply because teachers need to lectures too much, which students could have learned in many other way, like in the way Khan teach. The precious time in classroom for kids is so precious; the education system should try their best to utilize every bit of it and gave kids the most opportunities to try out what they have learned and make up what they lack of with the support of teacher.
