All the students may need to prepare a good resume and bring with them
carefully selected portfolio to present on the day of job interview. You may
have very little idea what they looking for from you and whatever you chose may
still not be enough to attract your boss hire you, the problems may simply be
what you present to them is not what they want and what actually you hide from
them may be actually is what they hope to find in you. How can we avoid mistake
like this? I think E-portfolio could be one answer.
E-portfolio assembled all the academic works students accomplished in
their school years and give those potential employer a good overview of the job
seekers. Potential employer could scan through all the courses that students
took in their school life in a pretty short period of time. If they find some
knowledge and subjects are pretty important for a position, they could just
simply click on the that and get to know the students detailed performance in
the courses. Besides, E-portfolio could also help potential employer to get to
know the job seekers better in depth, to know their family background,
interests and all sorts of information.
Moreover, teachers and students to be able to assign and hand in
assignments on-line in the E-portfolio should be considered as another
advantage too. Furthermore, students could find links placed by teachers to get
more information for specific subjects or assignments.
A potential problem would be any technical major problems could bring
immerse disasters to both students and teachers. Students’ loss could be
irreversible. Besides, having all the academic information online would
exacerbate plagiarism. Some students may simply go to find whatever they need
for an assignment from previous students E-portfolio.
